    1. Wonder if they ever did a wall or mantel copy?

    2. I saw that around a decade ago, but there was scaffolding around it then. There were reproductions available in the local shops, but they used modern clock movements that kept modern time - the actual clock uses variable-length hours such that there are 12 hours between sunrise and sunset, and between sunset and sunrise.

The lower dial has 365 increments and shows holidays and saints.

    1. Second this. Plus, the Czechs are extremely proficient at making 2 things: Beer and guns. Really enjoyed my time there.

  4. And yet they are removing analog clocks from class rooms because kids can't tell time using them. DEVO was right. We are indeed devolving, not evolving. That is exactly the clock that came to my mind when I read about the classroom change.

    1. With analog you see ALL of the time but with digital you only see the time right NOW.

People raised with digital don't know what "quarter to eight" means.

When you apply this to ALL things digital you slowly develope a society incapable of thinking and easily led.

    2. Corrected it for you.
AMERICAN kids can't tell time using them. Kids all over the world can read time just fine.
I'm sure that defunding education will do wonders for the next generation
