And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That looks like a street legal vintage GT40, with a small block ford V8. Weber still offers V8 manifold/carb kits, the small block Chevy cross-flow set up is like totally cool, a fellow on open track days put a small block chevy in a 65 Mustang, it has the Weber CF, thing of beauty, goes like stink, and those trumpet size velocity stacks make the sweetest intake sound.
I love them, easy to tune, way more torque than FI. I just wish there were more manifolds to fit different engines. The price for jets is getting silly and they are very sensitive to dirt.

ReplyDeleteWebers. No thank you.
ReplyDeleteToo much trouble, too finicky?
DeleteDan, yes.
DeleteKeeping those carbs tuned is a full time job.
Everybody says that but nobody ever says why they need tuned all the time.
DeleteMy brother had a 67 GTO with a 389 and (3) 2 barrels and it was never a problem.
I had a 66 Corvair Corsa with (4) 1 barrel carbs and it wasn't a problem neither.

ReplyDeleteI bet the sound of the intake runners is awesome.
ReplyDeletePeople either like Webers, or they don't know what they are talking about.
