And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Northern Lights, Looking North In Redding
The red color is light from town reflected off the bottom of the clouds. The green is the Northern Lights.
Can't see it with the naked eye, but with a ten second exposure it comes out.
This could be a waaay Cool sight!..Again Upriver...Not letting me go from Anon. I figure after all the work you put into this enjoyable site anyone who wants to respond should have the guts to say who-whom-they are. Thanks for what you do! David
guy was showing me pics from last night here in illinois about 30 miles north of st louis. pretty impressive. then he shows me what it looked like to the naked eye. with his phone. ??? huh?
We are still waiting for it up here in Chelan. The sky was red earlier too.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger the only way to see the aurora was to be close to the Arctic Circle. Observing it in the lower 48 was extremely rare.
