    1. They are one of those things that pictures don't do justice. To see them in person is to truly "see" them and appreciate their enormous size. They look like something from the era of the dinosaur.

  4. Between the trees, a rat lives in the forrest duff, and an owl that eats the rats, its the densest formation of living organisms anywhere on earth.

  5. Nothing will humble anyone faster than standing next to one of these magnificent giants. When you think that the majority of the mature trees were around when Jesus walked the earth, and some were 1000 years old then, they are truly staggering.
