And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My husband told his mother in law she was not to talk to him unless he addressed her first after she screamed at him, it worked as she only spoke once to him after that. In our marriage we agreed that we would each handle our side of the family, kept the piece, no fights, in intrusion from in laws....married over 45 years. All in laws deceased now.
At a Farmer's market in Green Valley, Az., a serious looking vendor had an impressive selection of cactus plants. One was about 30 inches in diameter, beautiful shape. Told the vendor it was really hot out, asked if it was OK to sit on this cactus. His eyes about popped out of his head. He got a chuckle outta that one!
