  5. Nothing in the pic shows the aircraft is not airworthy. All the important parts seem to be there. Just cut away the torn fabric. Good to go.

  6. A few years ago I had a problem in my truck that was caused by rodents eating wiring. It was gonna be close to $2k to fix it because the wire that was eaten was basically between the heads and so one head needed to be removed to get at it. I went to our car insurance office to see if there was any way to get coverage for this damage. Her computer screen offered two different rationales

  7. That’s why there’s ALWAYS a roll of duct tape in your gear bag.. Cutting the torn fabric away leaves an edge the airflow can catch and peel up. Tape it up, radius the corners &fly it out at 10 knots above stall speed. Off field & gravel bar operations punch holes in things.

  8. I saw this photo with the story; pilot had a fellow pilot drop off a tire and several rolls of duct tape. He did what needed to be done, then took off and flew home.
