And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That city doesn't maintain shit. When I lived there in the 80's there were underground tunnels from the early 1900's that were used to bring in coal to heat the buildings downtown. The guys that were supposed to inspect them were on permanent vacation. One collapsed under the river and flooded every downtown basement and sub- basement where the electrical power came in. Shut all of downtown off for several days.
