Six foot seven inch tall warrior found in grave mound from 1800 BC

He was buried with his spear.  Must have been quite the intimidating figure marching around poking enemies with this.

Azerbaijan is in need of trees.

The burial also contained bronze jewelry around one ankle, glass beads, obsidian tools and 12 inlaid and carved ceramic pots decorated with dot and line motifs. The jars contained the bones of cooked animals including goat, cow, horse and boar that archaeologists believe were offerings of food.

Too bad the stories this guy could tell are lost in the dim mists of ancient times.

  1. They say David killed Goliath around 1000 BC, but actual date is unknown. I wonder what the cause of death was? Any head trauma?

Hulk Hogan was 6 ft 7 in as well.

    1. Goliath was between nine and thirteen feet tall, depending on which cubit measurement was used, and his spear was compared to a weaver's beam.

David would have been in his late teens. He took five stones because Goliath had four brothers. One shot, one kill. That is faith.

  2. I wonder why places like Azerbaijan and Easter Island haven't reseeded naturally.

  3. Guessing he came from a high-status family - you need good nutrition while growing up to get that big.

  4. This area is part of the steppe regions and is too dry to support trees.

  5. Just the other day I read about US forces finding and eventually killing a giant in Afghanistan during the early days. When I looked it up it was called an urban legend.. Anyone hear about it?
