And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Mrs CW's birthday is coming up. Maybe she'd like this?
My wife loves her garden. She wanted to put in a brick path. For her birthday, I got a pallet of bricks. She said she wanted them. She was happy about it. Then she told everyone in a most incredulous and demeaning way. Acting insulted, can you believe it!, he gave me some bricks.
Nevermind the flowers, a music CD, and fine homemade dinner. It was the bricks!
Only if you want Trotskys pickaxe.
ReplyDeletemattock is well & fine but me, myself personally would opt for a more homey if not personal gift; a new toaster or a gift card from Harbor Freight.
ReplyDeleteYou may not live to regret it…
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if CW expects she is planning to murder him.
DeleteIf she likes to work outside in the garden-yard and she's practical I'm sure she'll love it.
ReplyDeleteYou romantic you!!
DeleteMy wife's absolute favorite Christmas present (from our son). But she's a gardener in a state where the state flower is a rock.
DeleteYou can always fall back to old standby of a new vacuum cleaner hose .
ReplyDeleteYou cad, how'd it look in your forehead?

There are some jobs that require a mattock. It is essential in breaking up the soil in a raised bed garden.
ReplyDeleteOr digging a hole to hide a body.
DeleteEstwing nice pick. Let me know how it works out for you. May I suggest a 40 volt Riobi mini cultivater. Less hard labor for her
ReplyDeleteEastwing Tools are excellent, hammers, pry bars, sledges, hatchets . . .
