  6. My generation had Jonny Quest. Other generations had My Little Pony. We are not the same.

  7. Yes I grew up with Jonny Quest! My favorites, Turo and the one eyed Electric monster! I still watch them with my grandsons on occasion

  8. I thought that Johnny Quest was pretty much based on the Rick Brant science adventure books.

    1. Agreed. They had pretty much all the same elements. I remember the book where they were exploring an island "somewhere in the Pacific" and scared off the natives by spraying the jungle vegetation with a UV dye, then using a UV floodlight on them when they attacked. They all glowed because the dye rubbed off on them. Freaked them out, and they ran off.

Rick Brant was always so much more realistic than Tom Swift Jr. (which was complete fantasy).

  9. My little brother liked Johnny Quest. I was a fan of Tom Hatton and Popeye/Bluto cartoons out of LA in the early 60s.
