And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Like showering under a waterfall, and better yet, illegal in California!
Caveat: We have a rain shower head. I don't care for it and use the traditional wall shower head. However, the lovely Mrs. azlib does like it and does use it.
But am I supposed to believe that few, if any of those multi-million dollar homes that recently burned in Malibu and Pacific Palisades had rainfall showers?
These bans are silly. People who want these completely reasonable products will find a way to have them. (And don't get me started on the nozzles to gas cans.)
To comply with code and get granted the Certificate of Occupancy the builder installs the cheap $10 Lowes code compliant shower head then after the owner moves in he flips out the $10 and installs the $600 Rain Forest Waterfall.
To make it work though you have to have at least 3/4" piping.
I have one and generally like it, great just to stand under it after a long day. I do miss the full pressure blast of a Commando 450 type show head though.
Work at a custom metal shop, fabricate lot of stainless products, company lets you make almost anything for personal use, seen one at Lowes while back, copied it by eye, present for my old lady, she just loves it, makes real good use of it.
Probably causes CAncer too.
ReplyDeleteBetter make sure your bathroom is plumbed with 3" pipe, first.

Specs on Amazon say 2.5 gpm. That's not a shower. My 1890's sunflower head puts out over 8 gpm on full throttle. It's fully adjustable also.
ReplyDeleteHave to be an acrobat to rinse off the ol undercarriage

ReplyDeleteWe love ours.
ReplyDeleteA few houses ago, I installed one of those "rain" shower heads in my wife's shower. She loved it...

ReplyDeleteLooks like you might get bruises from using it.
