And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Honest question. It looks like the light reflecting off the earth and the light reflecting off the astronaut are from two different sources/angles.Does anyone else see this?
Nope. Look closer. The sun, looking at the picture, is located at 3 o'clock on the picture, to the astronaut's left, and part of the shadows are caused by intervening equipment on the station.
The shading of the earth behind him is consistent with that angle. It's shaded, not fully illuminated.
