And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

used to be a house in the shopping center parking lot of my hometown. the owner died but the caretaker had rights to live there until he died. i'm thinking it was an extra 15 or 20 years.

ReplyDeleteJapan has some interesting laws for tax when selling a property. I understand that they might tax the seller up to 50% of the property's value.

I've been inside some NYC apartments that are up along the highway. The noise level is stunningly high. I don't know how people tolerate it.
ReplyDeleteYou get used to it….my apt was adjacent to hwy 101/in Arcata, CA I;college and after awhile, you adjust, as humans do.
