And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? That's a Forest Service 'C' faller. They get assigned to take down the gnarliest, nastiest snags and hazard trees at wildfires. And it doesn't get much gnarlier or nastier than that right there.
The point is to get it on the ground safely, and not to let it eventually come down on its own and possibly kill someone.
This is taking place during an active fire, with firefighters nearby and possible deep within the perimeter of the control lines. There's no threat of this tree spreading the fire when it hits the ground.
