And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The first American state to put in traffic circles, New Jersey, finally pulled their collective heads out of their butts and are taking them out in favor of traffic signals. Traffic circles, round abouts or whatever they call them, they are dangerous. I understand that many European countries are also removing them.
Traffic circles are great for keeping traffic moving instead of stopped at a signal where nobody is going through in any direction. I'd much rather have a circle than a signal, and lots of areas concur and are putting more in. But there certainly are a lot of drivers that cannot navigate them.
Have been born in the Garden state and lived there many years ago I remember the Rte-17 and Rte-35 roundabouts in the 1950s. The only positive thing was they were huge and not the size of a back yard kiddie pool.
Traffic lights are a communist plot. You ever come to a stop so one car can proceed through the intersection. How about multiple cars all stopping so one can move through. Or an idiot turning right but still triggers the light. A lot of wasted energy. Or, four arrive to a four way simultaneously. They sit there trying to mentally calculate who goes first. Meanwhile, you're stuck behind the bozo.
Circles make much more sense. The problem is idiots who can't navigate through a turn.
Yes, the problem is idiots who cannot navigate, who cannot follow the yield signs, who drive too fast, who are stoned or drunk, who are distracted by their f*ckin' cell phones and the list goes on and on. Traffic circles are horrible in most American cities and towns.
Worked at a traffic light company, on call to various towns and cities, get to see the craziest accidents like this one. Best though was a Ben and Jerries truck took out a strain pole, whole intersection cause the heavy huricane proof cables the traffic lights hang from. Long story short, reeffer box was ripped open, truck on its side, driver told us to grab as much ice cream as we liked, cause it was now unsellable. Got a whole pallet of B&G's cherry chocolate chip for the chest freezer.

DeleteThis clown would not have stopped for a traffic light, either.
DeleteYeah, they're selling them to Kanada. It IS a great way to spot boomers who shouldn't be driving anymore, however. Fxxks them right up, it does.
DeleteI dropped the binger. Got high anyway.
ReplyDeletethat car don't look right
ReplyDeleteObviously manipulated animation… unless that little car had a rocket pack on the back…
ReplyDeleteI prefer traffic circles when people know how to use them...
ReplyDeleteTo everyone who thinks the video is manipulated - y'all really need to trust more :) Accident is from 2020 in Rąbień, Poland. Real.

ReplyDeleteThe problem is that every state will issue a license to anybody that can fog a mirror. If you can breath you're allowed to drive in America.
