And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
You used to be able to get that model with the Boy Scout emblem on it. I think I have one around here somewhere. I wonder if the (now) Scouts even bother.
Have the model with corkscrew, since my Boy Scout days, 6th grade, held up very well. The awl is very useful, come in handy more times than i could recall. Of course the corkscrew.
Dad carried the next level up that also had a corkscrew. It is in the center console of my truck. I have used the corkscrew on a few occasions.
A popular bumper sticker in central California: NAPA is for auto parts as Paso Robles is for wine.
About 2/3 of my wine closet is Paso wine. I have the storage capacity of 60 bottles. I currently have 11 empty spots. I will fill them when I have 12 empty slots. The local bottle shop allows a mix and match case price. I usually go 3 bottles of a brand/vintage. I have a few that are must buy's as they have been historically good. We go through a bottle every 2 or 3 weeks as we are not heavy wine drinkers. A dark red with a steak is good. A Chardonnay with a cheese board. Both are enjoyed.
I have 3 of them. but the bigger ones with a saw. got into trouble one time with it too. was bored on a training thing. like 3-4 weeks in the field. so, I was a M-60 gunner. I cut down some 7.62 blanks to fit the 45 I had to carry. even carved wooden bullets and got caught shooting empty C-rat cans with it. I think I made over a half dozen rounds and boy was TOP pissed that I did. hell, I was bored. already read my book and was reading it again.
Very useful pocket knife. Study some vidoes on how and the many uses of those tools and blades. You don't always need a fixed blade knife to get tasks done, as long as the blades are kept sharp and you don't do stupid things, a Vic will do just fine.
---looks like it don't come wid no chinesium neither------------

ReplyDeleteSome people never grow up. Silly little plastic toy, not meant for serious work.
ReplyDeletePerhaps. But they're fun and bring back memories. Nothing wrong with that.

Mine has the corkscrew and a nice saw. Picked it up at a local thrift store for $3!
