And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The E Type has the steering wheel on the wrong side, but it's still a beautiful beast, an icon up there with the Spitfire as far as beauty follows form.
On Jaguar Club tour in Northern Illinois, probably 40 years ago. Back road with bridge over interstate. One of the E Types was nailed by a State cop for 130 coming over the bridge. The driver's comments? "I did not have the heart to tell him I was in third gear and slowing down!"
