  3. I am guessing the tires displace enough water to make it float and actually move in water.

  4. Are those chains on the tires, or are they cleats?

    1. They’re tread elements, paddles to be more accurate. One of the Sherp’s selling points is it’s floatability (is that a word?). The paddles provide “traction” in the water.
Believe it or not, for traveling in the snow, a totally smooth bladder type tire actually works better, but it won’t provide a lot of propulsion in the water.

  5. helped a guy set one of those back on the tires after it hit a rock a bit too fast. heavy little thing. it involved using some chain, strapping, and a nine thousand pound dodge diesel pickup truck. it started right up and drove off.
