Very Stylish

The S.55 was a two engine twin hull seaplane built by Societa Idrovolanti Alta Italia. The S.55 (Santa Maria) was used for an around the world flight In 1927. It had a useful load of 7,500 lbs. and a cruising speed of 100 MPH.

    1. Transatlantic. It was a good seaplane for the day. Savoia-Marchetti S.55

  2. Wow, a rip snortin' 100mph. Wow, hang on! Tree Mike

  3. Low cruising speed, but long duration - typical of seaplanes. The Catalina could stay in the air 20+ hours if I recall.
