The jaws of an ancient Megalodon shark that lived around 23 to 3.6 million years ago vs. a modern-day Great White.

  3. A while ago I was talking to a friend's son about the enormous creatures that existed then. He wanted to know why things grew so big. My explanation was that as there was a high concentration of atmospheric carbon plants grew tall and lush, herbivores grew as they ate them, carnivores grew as they ate the herbivores. I think I may have caused a minor brain melt.
