  1. Mine when I was sixteen had the hand crank tailgate window. This one appears to be power? Another gem I shoulda held on to.

    1. It is a power window, Greg. Operates by screwdriver, amongst its other quirks.

    2. My buddy and his dad went to the end of the road (which was narrow, rough and just below the continental divide) in their waggoneer. My buddy kept saying there was someone ahead. His dad said "No that's an old track. Look how narrow and light." At the end of road, there sat my dad's VW bug.

  2. Wood IS good.
    Use it. Nature renews it.
Not to mention, it keeps a lot of guys like me working!

    1. Rod holders are repurposed Frog Tog bungies strung inside the rig, Rob. Can fit half-a-dozen rods up to 8' 6", and they bounce nicely protected as we bounce down the two tracks.

    2. I was remembering the NC outter banks fishing trucks from the late 70s.

    3. The rod holders were for the poles after they casted out into the surf.
