The Art of Speed, if not rear view visibility

    1. The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 is a concept car unveiled by German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz, under its Maybach division, at the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. It is a 2+2 coupé that features an all-electric powertrain with a claimed range of over 200 miles. It has a quoted electric output of 738 hp, with a claimed limited top speed of 155 mph and acceleration to 62 mph in less than 4 seconds. The car will also be featured in the 2022 movie The Flash where Bruce Wayne will be driving it. The concept car measures 224.4 in long, 82.7 in wide and 52.3 in tall, sitting on 24-inch wheels and has a split rear window. The car also uses gull-wing doors and costs over $2,000,000.00.

  2. Recall the first rule of Italian driving. Yeah, I know it's Kraut, not Wop. Although, if you put the Ferrari emblem on it, instead of Mercades, it could pass.

    1. That's what mirrors are for, you know, like all big rigs have?
      And cars pulling boats, trailers, etc.
      By the number of people driving in the left lane on the interstate it is clear a lot of drivers don't look out the rear window anyway.

  5. I would imagine, at the cost of that beast, there is a video display of the rear view for the driver.

    1. No doubt there is. Every mother's KIA has one of those. Still, good design would insist that having to carry along a TELEVISION SET and CLOSED CIRCUIT VIDEO STUDIO is not worthy of approbation. Less is more and all that. Maybe a window?
