  1. Casement windows (top photo) really class up a joint. One of the few designs that when open fully allow air to pass thru the entire opening. Their down side is that when insect screen panels are present, they must swing inside to allow to open.

    My Grandparents had casement windows, but they had a metal crank opening mechanism to open. Those units did swing the window panels outside, but there were no screens.
