And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Interesting account of this crash is here: https://www.thefridaytimes.com/2020/06/12/recovering-a-jumbo-at-karachi-airport/
Despite multiple exits being unuseable, the evacuation at about 4:30 AM was completed in about 2 minutes. Two hundred forty six passengers and 16 crew deplaned with no injuries.
I guess what they say about flying being the safest mode of transportation is actually true.
But plane wrecks have an amazingly high survival rate too, I was really surprised when I looked into it some years ago. And they are much more infrequent than car accidents.
Back a truck up to that door and the wrecking crew can start striping the interior and tossing it out the door. Boneyard.

DeleteThe name on that plane could be a bit off-putting to some passengers.
