And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Knew a guy who traded one for a new Honda 450 twin about '68 or '69. Gave the dealer some cash along with the 'vette, IIRC. Wonder how often he kicks himself for this. Car was in good shape.
Restored a 1960 corvette ground up and building a 1947 Chevy convertible now. Convertibles have always had a robust frame to make up to lack of top structure. Exhaust is always routed through the frame to keep it off the road.
