  1. Aeronca Champ on a set of TrickAir skis! Nice!

  2. Loved my 1946 Areonca Champ. Three of us Champ owners used to seek out every dirt strip used by the likes of Patton and other officers who oversaw the build up of troops leading into the Second World War. Liked the Champ better than the Piper as you fly it from the front seat.

  4. A bit off-topic. I knew this wasn't a Cub, but not sure what. One of my old dirtbike buddies had a 46 clipped-wing Cub and I remember flying out of Rosedale International Airport on skis a time or two in the early 1970s. That was the name they gave to their private airstrip 9 miles south of Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Another time we were flying at maybe 2000' or less AGL very near what was (likely) the recently deactivated BOMARC missile base in Raco, MI and a B-52 passed underneath us at what looke like treetop level approaching us from our rear quarter. We did not see it until it was below us. Good times.
