And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Wow! This brings back memories. My dad enjoyed this along with the Genny Screamers. Can still get Genny even down her in VA now. I went to college across from the Utica Club Brewery in Utica, NY. Dime drafts on Fridays at the local bars. Almost forget...enjoyed Ballentine too.
Good gawd that brings back... Born and raised in Boofaloo, we used to buy cases of the cream ale from the vietnamese bodega's on Elmwood (when we were 16!) Then I moved to Rottenchester for 20 years. Worked down the road from the brewery for 7 years. Was a Molson man then, but always had a soft spot for the 16 ounce screamers with the green and gold label. Man did that shit clean you out! Whew! Get a garbage plate to go with it on a Friday night! Been 10 years since I had one of those, heard that Nick's was up for sale, hookers included at no extra charge.
Yep, born in Buffalo, raised in and around Rochester. The little bar I went to when I was 18 had twenty five cent Genny drafts (10oz) all day, every day. Get a Euchre game going or play pool or darts - them were the days.
I thought they only made hard ciders.
ReplyDeleteI guess no one remembers that joke
DeleteUsed to drink a lot of Genesee Cream Ale back in the day, haven't had one in years.
