And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Smoky shack. You've got to have the top of your chimney/stovepipe higher than the peak of the roof. If it isn't, you will not have a good draw, and smoke will, at least some of the time, be forced back down the flue. This will be most significant when trying to start a fire, as there is no column of heat in the flu to help it draw, and it will as likely be blowing back at you as up the pipes. Also, shifting snow load at that location could potentially take those pipes right off the shack, in an unideal situation.
