With Mount Shasta and Mount Lassen both in my backyard, I should get this to keep a close eye on things.

  2. you'll also want a few dozen remote reporting gps sensors to determine surface rise and fall and about four each sensitive seismographs with remote reporting to complete your observational suite. you could automatically upload your data to NGS Boulder lab and get correlated data in return all via the internoob, if you ask nicely.
    as for turning your world upside down, it is all a matter of lenses and interpretation.

  3. The trick to the inverted image when looking at something terrestial is to turn your back to what the scope is pointed at.
