And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
probably a cross wind against the tail rotor. it's why the main rotor blades are tied down during post flight inspections. windmilling on the ground puts unnecessary wear on the gearbox and presents a safety issue to equipment and personel if allowed to move in the wind. but, yeah, feeding time is well past....
The AH-64a model had an roto r brake but was never used and even locked out from use. the longbow and now guardian model's both have and use rotor brakes.
Spooling down, the guy is waiting for them to stop (WAG). Do those come with a rotor brake?
ReplyDeleteMost likely winding down, the guy standing nearby has no ear protection. Usually rotor brakes are only installed for shipboard use.
