And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Probably the last fire of the season.
It really wasn't so cold this morning, but at 7am Mrs. CW got up and lit it off.
Me, too. Like being where I can smell smoke from a fire on a cold day.
ReplyDeleteI live on the Mendocino coast and light a wood fire every morning of the year. 5:00 am.Nobody stopped me yet.
ReplyDeleteWere sort of neighbors, I live near Lakehead and wood is my only source of heat.
