Made this the other day

Holds my big razor nicely.  It was a weathered old branch of Jeffrey Pine Mrs. CW and I brought back from one of our summer trips to Carson Pass.

Consistent with its life on the pass, the rings are very close together.  It's also interesting that the silvery weathering is only about a millimeter deep, and the rest of the wood is a beautiful yellowish orange.

  1. What a nice and useful creation. Beautiful wood, and the special memories are a bonus.
