And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Made it out to the stream this morning. Should have stayed in bed. A few days ago it was sunny and mid seventies. Then a cold front came through with rain and high winds. This morning there was frost all over and the stream was high and muddy. Nary a nibble. Maybe next week.............
Brook trout might like that stream if there are deeper holes. Fishing season is coming, but you might have to chip the ice away in August.
