And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Whiskers is dragged out of the frying pan, only to jump into the fire.
Cats are amazingly resilient - there is the phenomenon of "HRC's" - and I'm not talking about the recent presidential candidate but High Rise Cats, as New York vets call them. They have a problem with depth perception when quartered in said high rise apartments, so they see something outside their open window or balcony door and pounce on it, only to find out too late they are several stories up. They kind of instinctively sprawl out to give maximum drag and can survive quite a fall. IIRC, the record was about 12 floors!
One life down, eight more to go? Maybe?
ReplyDeleteLife number one was climbing the power pole and not getting fried. Two has to be surviving the fall, which I bet the puss did.
