And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I remember when the double-edge disposable blade safety razor was the only alternative to a straight razor or an expensive, not very effective electric one. I use to go through a septic stick and half a roll of toilet paper every morning and still look like I took a direct hit from a Claymore mine.
Who are these people that have all that free time in the morning? I'm up at 4:30 am and on the road by 5:30. In that time I slug some coffee, pack bkfast and lunch, take a constitutional, check weather, shave, wash up and get dressed. Shaving is 5 minutes tops. Harry's cartridge razors and shaving gel, one pass and hope for the best.
He forgot to mention that if you don't carefully rinse all the soap out of your brush and then at least fluff it dry, the base will rot and the bristles will fall out.
And if you want to know how long a blade will last, count how many shaves you get out of your last blade when you keep forgetting to get more. You'd be surprised.
Screw all that. Bic Disposables, two uses max, skin lotion instead of foam, and off we go. Used those razors starting in the Army and never liked them.
Merkur handle: $50 -- will last forever Box of 100 Feather blades: $20 -- fresh blade each week for two years Four Tubes of Every Man Jack shave lotion: $25 -- each tube good for about six months
My recollection is that I have rarely spent 20 minutes shaving. Usually, I'm still half asleep, and one pass is all that it gets.
