And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Never too soon to start planning for next year, or even right now if you're up for a New Zealand trip (it's springtime there).
We went last week in October, first two weeks in November. Southern Island was cool and rainy, 50s to 60s. Tolerable. By the time we got to the North Island, temps were in the 70s, a bit of rain, but mostly clear skies. No jacket required.
Don't know about fishing, but everything we saw and did in NZ was fabulous. Still seriously thinking about emigrating.
ReplyDeleteIt may be technically springtime but it is still very much winter at the moment, best time to visit is march.
