  3. Young man I know served on a Los Angeles-class sub. He said the longest they were continuously submerged was 3 months. Yikes!

  4. Nice picture! I remember when those 688s were the hot new thing in the fleet... I did a tour on an old 640 class boomer, not so fast and definitely not as new... but unlike the 688s, we did have the comedy you can only get from using 700# air to blow sanitaries overboard (and other places when someone screws it up)
