And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

The cat makes herself at home.
Mrs. CW was preparing to mail something and had the box all out and ready, but not ready for a sleepy cat. Why do cats like boxes so much?
She might just do that, she likes it that much. A more resourceful cat I've never seen. She can jump up to the deck from a fence, like no other cat I've owned, she goes on walkabout for a week sometimes, and just about the time I think a coyote got her, she thumps up on the deck and wanders in. Smarter than the average feline, she is.
It appears that cat is prepared to defend the box.
