Just bought this bottle. Had a taste testing last night. Mrs. CW, the Commander, and the youngest daughter are still talking about it.
Best and most accurate comment from that site: A citrus tang drifts in and out of a huge cloud of smoke - all on a bed of silky, luxurious malt. Brine and seaweed fade into a finish that goes on and on. One dram of Lagavulin, and the $90 price tag feels like a bargain.
On and on with the finish is right. Mrs. CW claims she could still taste it this morning.
I like Lagavulin especially in the winter by the stove
ReplyDeleteYes, it certainly would be a perfect dark, rainy night drink.
