Starting the new year off right.
Tonight's itinerary:
Burn the old Christmas tree, with bottle rockets in the branches to shoot off at random as the advancing flames set them off ( we live in a very rural area so this is kosher). Eleventy!!!! Film at eleven.
Retire to the man cave to watch movies and break in the cobs.
After the moon goes down, set up the Nikons to attempt to photograph comet Lovejoy, which should be possible with high ISO settings and a longish exposure. Science: it's in your backyard!
If we are successful, I'll post the pictures and the film.
You can possibly also puff a pipe while the cameras are exposing...Happy New Years and have fun with the bonfire.
ReplyDeleteYou bet. I'll have fun, the kids will have fun, and the pyro wife will really have fun.
DeleteI wish bonfires were possible here, dammit! I go to a friend's with an IAH burn barrel to get my pyro fix.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Same to you, Brighid! I'll send some sparks your way.
