Today is the anniversary of the successful raid on Entebbe airport in 1976 by Israeli commandoes, rescuing successfully most of the hostages being held by Palestinian terrorists. The only commando killed was Jonathan Netanyahu, the brother of the current president of Isreal. I am old enough to clearly recall this, and we were rightly impressed by the bad ass chuzpah of the state of Isreal for pulling this off so far from their own country.
