And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Back 30 years ago the VP of the Outlaws sold his Ironhead Sportster that had a custom paint job on the tank and no key to buddy of mine. He told my buddy he didn't need a key as everybody recognized his bike from the paintjob and would not touch it. He rode it 3 years without a key. He put one in the harness and repainted the bike. Somebody stole it from his workplace less than a year after the paintjob.
