One long pitchfork

  1. That is likely a 3 tined hay fork used to load grain shocks. Used one as a kid to try to help load shocks during threshing season. Spent most of the time riding the hay wagon with Gramps while he drove the team. I was a bit short for the job.

    1. Works for hay too. Long handle to get it up to the top. I haven't seen an actual long handled one like that for a long time.
Telescoping handles took over and hay doesn't get done that way anymore anyway.

  2. Yup When I describe my experience(s) loading shocks and the whole process, my sons & grandson think I'm making it up.
