And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That is likely a 3 tined hay fork used to load grain shocks. Used one as a kid to try to help load shocks during threshing season. Spent most of the time riding the hay wagon with Gramps while he drove the team. I was a bit short for the job.
Works for hay too. Long handle to get it up to the top. I haven't seen an actual long handled one like that for a long time. Telescoping handles took over and hay doesn't get done that way anymore anyway.

Yup When I describe my experience(s) loading shocks and the whole process, my sons & grandson think I'm making it up.
