  1. Slaves and about to be slaves. That was normal life for them savages on the coast. I want to know how'd that thief get the shooting iron.

    1. Could be... But I have another two possibility's: First: The male and his son the first and the female last who are the workers. Second Possibility: He is the defender, aka the weapons-bearer, and shouldn't be encumbered with anything else, and the child CAN'T schlep much else, therefore the Females have to bear the trade-goods or the household.

    2. And even then it is hard to say if they are slaves, relatives or wife's...
      But the difference between wife and slave was and is hard to make, even today in so called advanced cultures / society's / nations (spit).
