  2. I bought a 1929 Bell wall mount reconditioned for modern phone lines for our kitchen, big hit with the guests.

  3. We have such sporadic and unreliable internet where we live in remote El Paso (Colorado) County that we have a landline.

  4. The replacement of the rotary dial with pushbuttons was a MUCH NEEDED UPGRADE.

  6. after I retired, I dumped the cell phone and just use the land line. I have found that life is so much quieter now without the damn cell. wife still keeps her cell though
    for whatever reason.

  7. But is it as heavy and solid as the original? The original desk phone could be used as a weapon or a boat anchor. up

  8. I worked my way thru college working for Pacific Telephone in the Black Slums of LA for 4 yrs installing, repairing these, and then doing cable work.
