And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Looks like some type of composite manipulation. From the supposed angle, the King on the throne at the top center is not at the right perspective. He should appear much flatter from the point back where the camera is if he were actually painted on the ceiling.
Don’t be a knave about the nave. The 5 angle wood ceiling is horizontal across the top section. The painting is relatively new (1860s) compared to the building. I don’t know when this picture was taken, but a conservation and cleaning project was done a few decades ago. The “king” may look brighter than expected because of it. It is not AI or a manipulated image. Believe it or not, people had talent and an appreciation of perspective before the digital age.
This image shows the interior of Ely Cathedral in Cambridgeshire, England.
Location: Ely Cathedral is an Anglican cathedral known as the "Ship of the Fens" because of its prominent position in the flat landscape.
Architecture: The present building began construction in 1083 and features stunning examples of medieval Gothic architecture, including a unique octagonal lantern tower.
History: The site has been a religious location since AD 672 when St. Etheldreda founded a priory there.

Hard to hear that I don’t, in fact, know it all. Sad.
DeleteBut on the bright side, we all now know more than we did. Winning!
