And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
What an aircraft. Did anyone strip a B17 to the maximum possible then perform acrobatics with it? Been in one, ain't much to them really, like tissue paper wrapped around an aluminum skeleton, with 4 huge torque out the butt boosted lumbering radials.
Took a ride in one via the Confederate Air Force, hell of a ride… rock solid in high winds and Texas summer squalls…no wonder it was such a steady bombing platform…
The Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force (and I have never been able to not first think of it as the "Confederate Air Force") has a B-17....Sentimental Journey....and I see it fly over the house a couple three times a year.
Yesterday we ordered pizza for dinner and my drive to pick it up took me past the CAF Wing. Normally, I can see their B-17, B-25 or C-47 parked out front. But they've got a new acquisition which they had parked out front, and man, do I now feel old.
The newest addition to the Commemorative Air Force is a F-16. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18DZHcDjf4/
Is that a USAF issued bungee cord holding that window closed?
