And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
When Jack Kent Cooke owned the Redskins, he had an office on the top floors in that building (Chrysler Building). I took a letter up there to his office begging for Skin's tickets to an upcoming NY Giants game. Didn't get the tickets. But got a personal letter from him telling me sorry, and to keep supporting the Skins!
You obviously love highlighting the Art Nouveau doorways (always spectacular). Art Deco and Nouveau added so much to our culture. No shock they came about under a gold standard and during a period of small government and tremendous freedom and prosperity all around the world.
Got a room long ago at the hotel next door, interestingly, a young Mr Trump’s first Manhattan hotel, looking straight out at those eagles. Spectacular.
