And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
About 10 years ago when I was still working, and so was the wife, we had a bit of disposable income. When I had a hankering to drive something like this, I would drive up to Phoenix and rent one for the day at Enterprise Exotics. The next morning I’d hand the keys back a with a smile and nod. And a tiny regret, but lots of fond memories.
Back in 04 my best friend got a year tour in Iraq. He was an avowed bachelor and Blackhawk pilot. He asked me to garage his 89 944S and drive it once every few weeks to keep the battery charged. He got extended to 14 months. Fun time for me.
