Wow

  1. Very nice engraving (I'd call that art), but I want those grips on my revolver. A smoothed background would probably enhance this photo.

Thanks for the submission CW !

    1. Grips with any kind of finger groove are likely more practical, but I favor smooth grips for esthetics (e.g., taking pics of pretty revolvers)

  2. A pretty revolver. What springs to mind is mind not the pretty glitter but beware the bark of the 357 magnum.

    Very nice CW.

    1. I transferred my 357 to my son. I went from "Well...that was OK" to "My God, that was horrible". And after 300-400 rounds it only got worse. Couldn't get rid of the anticipation.

  3. I remember that gun quite well; CW has posted that photo here before. And done flung a craving on me both times.

No, no. That was not a complaint.

  5. 357 is a very loud cartridge. Sharper and more painful than a 44 mag.

  7. Diamondbacks are/were chambered in .22 Long Rifle or .38 Special.
    Pythons are/were in .357 Magnum.
Anacondas are/were in .44 Magnum or .45 Colt.
Apart from the differences in physical size, the Diamondbacks can be identified by the top line of the frame, inside the triggerguard. Diamondbacks are flat/straight, while the larger revolvers have a slight bump above the trigger.
